BIOMECHANICAL Complete Work On 'The Empires Of The Worlds' Video

May 5, 2005

On Thursday, April 28, U.K. progressive epic thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL teamed up with Adam Mason and crew to shoot the band's new video for the track "The Empires of the Worlds". The filming lasted about 13 hours, mostly in front of green screen, and the clip is now in post-production.

Commented singer John K: "Shooting this video was hard work to say the least but we thoroughly enjoyed it!! The professionalism of the crew was evident and that gave us a confidence in the performance that it will hopefully be shown in the vid. We all knew that this will basically going to be a CG vid so the necessary green screen was set up and after that we filmed from about 11am to midnight. Director Adam Mason and the rest of the crew did a great job and personally I can't wait to see the final cut!!"

BIOMECHANICAL's sophomore album, "Empires of the World", will be released on June 6 via Elitist/Earache Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Eight Moons" (Revolver Records) was recorded by vocalist Jon K and mixed by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) at Sneap's own Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, U.K. The cover was created by "Spawn"/"The Haunted" drawing artist Nat Jones. Nat has also collaborated with Rob Zombie on the release of his latest comic, "The Nail".

BIOMECHANICAL will play a free concert on Wednesday, May 18 at the Underworld in London, England. Doors 1:00 p.m., band onstage 2:00 p.m.
